Just like any construction project, there’s lots to consider with an oak framed structure, from design, to planning applications (where required), ground works and finishing. Each of these important processes plays an integral part in ensuring every structure we create is of the highest standard. From your initial consultation with us, through choosing and developing your design, to acquiring planning permission, our team of experts will take care of everything, meaning you can hand over your project with complete confidence and let us do the leg work for you. We’ll begin by discussing your design brief and helping you visualise your build.  Following consultation, a site visit will allow us to assess any constraints and  whether your build will require Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent or Building Regulations approval. While this won’t be necessary in some cases, if it is, our planning experts can submit your application, taking the stress and workload away from you.

At Stour Valley Oak, our skilled construction team undertake all ground work requirements. An integral part of the build process, we construct our oak framed structures on robust foundations, to provides a firm, stable and level base. Starting from the ground up we’ll take care of the whole process from foundations, to concrete, block work and brick plinth, creating solid footings for your building.
